MOGADISHU (HOL) – Farmers in Somalia will now conduct their business from the comfort of their homes thanks to the introduction of a new mobile money service.
Agro Bank, a Somalia based commercial bank entered into an agreement with SOMNET telecommunications today to ease business practices among farmers in Somalia.
According to the deal, customers of Agro Bank will be subscribed to a service called Buraaqo which links them to SOMNET’s Jeeb mobile money service.
Agro Bank customers will be able to deposit and withdraw money from their accounts through Jeeb mobile.
