RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister said on Wednesday that Israel’s bombing of Gaza is fueling extremism in the strip of land.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the Israeli campaign was “empowering the extremists” and he urged “all parties” to stop the violence which erupted last week to end.

Heavy air strikes and roclet fire in the Israel-Gaza conflict have claimed more lives on both sides as tensions flare amid Palestinian ‘day of anger’ protests in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
