MOGADISHU (HOL) – Somalia’s prime minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble has today replaced two ministers in what would be his first mini cabinet reshuffle since he assumed office last September.

In a statement issued this evening by PM Roble, the long-time aviation minister Mohamed Abdullahi Oomar has been moved to the ministry for labour, social affairs.

Roble has also appointed Duran Ahmed Farah to become the transport and aviation minister.

The reasons behind the ministers’ swap have not been specified.

The move comes amid Somalia is engulfed in political crisis caused by disagreement over electoral process.

UN mediated talks between Farmajo administration and leaders of the regional state collapsed last Thursday after the sides failed to agree on agenda of a crucial meeting on electoral process.
